The Meiravi Quartet presents a free concert, 'Spring into September.' The program includes the premier of Peter Nocella's String Quartet No.6 'Spring Journal,' with a nod to Vivaldi's Primavera and Stravinsky's Rite of Spring. This quartet is the third of Nocella's four season series.
Also on the program is Wolfgang Mozart's String Quartet in G, K387, 'Spring.' This quartet was written when Mozart was 26, and was just entering the Viennese music scene. Check out the varied and unusual background of Meiravi Quartet members at MeiraviQuartet/YouTube and PeterNocella/YouTube.
